Our history
The current proprietor of de Uitkijk has been operating de Uitkijk for over fifty years and has shaped the entire development of de Uitkijk from beach pavilion to the current beach pavilion / restaurant himself, where before his time all beach pavilions closed at 6 p.m., busy or not busy, de Uitkijk from day one also remained open in the evening.
The next step was year-round operation, which means that the pavilion is open all year round. The expansion in the winter period is highly appreciated by guests, and for tourists Egmond aan Zee thus becomes an attractive destination in winter as well. A lot also has to do with the experience of the beach visitor, whether they only come for a walk or are looking for the comfort of a lovely terrace with a view of the sea, at the Uitkijk the guests can go all year round.
De Uitkijk started as a simple pavilion and has grown into a restaurant where guests can enjoy the beautiful view and delicious food.
